Continuing their tradition as a steadfast supporter of Habitat for Humanity in Canada, JELD-WEN teamed with the charitable organization as part of their 2012 Blitz Build, which took place from July 9 to July 21 in the North Winnipeg suburban community of Riverbend. Over the 11-day blitz, the previously vacant strip of land was transformed with the construction of four side-by-side units (eight homes). As in years past, the blitz saw hundreds of volunteers descend on the site to take the homes from poured foundation to enclosed abode in under two weeks. JELD-WEN Canada supplied not only windows and doors for the project, but a number of volunteers as well.
