One of the latest building trends for 2016 is the Net-Zero home. Net-Zero homes are built using the latest energy-efficient products and appliances so that the home consumes as much energy as it produces. These homes have the potential to save homeowners money on their monthly energy bill. As well, they produce less carbon emissions so they are better for the environment. It is estimated that by 2030 all new homes built in Canada will be Net-Zero friendly. JELD-WEN is proud to be a part of this exciting new initiative. As part of a national demonstration project last year, 5 Canadian builders were selected to build five Net-Zero homes each. JELD-WEN Tripane windows were widely used in the production of these homes.
