Privacy ratings are a way to determine the level of transparency in a decorative glass insert. Decorative glass is often used in entry door inserts or to frame an entry door with sidelites and a transom. A glass insert with a low privacy rating allows lots of light but little privacy; a glass insert with a high privacy rating is closer to being opaque, giving your entrance the visual quality of decorative glass while maintaining the privacy of a solid door. This is just another one of the ways that JELD-WEN allows you to choose every aspect of your window and door renovation.
