An ENERGY STAR® map of Canada showing four different climate zones by colour.

ENERGY STAR is a voluntary Canadian energy-efficiency initiative that helps consumers identify the most energy-efficient products available. You have seen the ENERGY STAR logo on windows, doors and home appliances.

In order to choose the correct ENERGY STAR windows for your climate, follow these three steps:

1. Consult the Canadian ENERGY STAR map, divided into climate zones, to confirm which one you are in.

2. The ENERGY STAR products that best suit your zones will be indicated on your windows and doors. Your retailer will be able to give you more information.

3. Choose a model that suits the climate zone where you live or a superior zone.

ENERGY STAR-qualified windows and doors will allow you to save on your heating and cooling bill. They also offer more comfort, less noise coming from the outside, and less condensation than with traditional models.

Remember, if you have any questions, just ask your local window dealer. To find a JELD-WEN dealer in your neighborhood go to https://en.jeldwen.dfmdemos.com/where_to_buy/
