Continuing our tradition as a steadfast supporter of Canadian curling, JELD-WEN Canada, along with McMunn & Yates Building Supplies was proud to serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the Manitoba Safeway Championship, held in Neepawa, Manitoba from February 6-10, 2013. The four-day championship saw fierce action that pitted curling institution Jeff Stoughton against a crop of challengers including Mike McEwen, Rob Fowler, Sean Grassie, Daley Peters and other qualifiers from across the province. In the end, Stoughton prevailed in Neepawa to stamp his ticket to the Tim Hortons Brier in Edmonton in March. The win marked Stoughton’s 10th Manitoba crown.

From Manitoba to Nova Scotia, the MolsonCoors tankard saw the JELD-WEN-backed Mark Dacey rink in tough against a field of competitors from that province battling for a chance to represent Nova Scotia at the Brier. The 2004 Brier and 2002 and 2010 Canadian Mixed Curling champion Dacey advanced to Saturday’s semi-final before falling in a hard fought battle to the rink of Jamie Murphy. We at JELD-WEN Canada congratulate Mark and his team on a great effort.

Finally, as a presenting sponsor of the Safeway Championship, JELD-WEN was privy to some airtime during the broadcast. Check out exclusive behind-the-scenes pictures from the filming on our Facebook page and view our ‘Endless Selection’ commercial below.
