In the enchanting décor of the Fairmont Château Laurier hotel in Ottawa on June 5, Natural Resources Canada hosted companies involved in the promotion of energy efficiency. The 2012 ENERGY STAR Participants’ Meeting also saw leaders in energy conservation rewarded. The daylong meeting was remarkably well orchestrated, with highlights that included a conference by Jon Eakes, a leading expert in North American renovation. The day ended on a triumphant note with the ENERGY STAR awards dinner, where distinctions were given to companies and organizations that stood out from the competition by offering the most energy-efficient services, technologies and products on the market. “On behalf of JELD-WEN Canada, I would like to congratulate Natural Resources Canada. It’s an exceptional achievement to bring together so many market participants around the cause of energy efficiency, year after year, so successfully,” said Lisa Bergeron, Government Relations Director at JELD-WEN.
