A few weeks ago, we talked about a new trend in sustainable development in Quebec- sharing tips and tricks via Twitter. Every Tuesday, over 250 businesses generously share “green” content in the hopes of inspiring as many people as possible to make an effort to help the environment. This accomplishment, a part of the Hubrid initiative, is made possible thanks to several partners who have united their respective efforts.
As a salute to the participating businesses, #SDTuesday recently published a collection of 50 quotes chosen from the more than 4,000 published over the summer; including some of JELD-WEN’s sustainability actions:
@JELDWENCanada: We recover over 10 tonnes of polyethylene every year, which is then re-sold in bales instead of going into the garbage #SDTuesday.
“The enthusiastic participation of Quebec businesses has made #SDTuesday a one-of a-kind global meeting place. This exchange of information inspires the participants, stimulates innovation and democratizes sustainable development” says Mr. Hughes Chandonnet, Hubrid‘s Creative Director.
