This summer, JELD‐WEN® has extended the launch of a stunning new line of premium quality wood windows and patio doors across Canada. Made with AuraLast® treated wood, the Classic Collection is both beautiful and durable as well as energy efficient and architecturally appealing.
In addition to double‐hung, casement, awning, bay and bow styles, the Classic Collection includes radius and geometric windows in an array of shapes such as half‐round, quarter‐round, fullround segment arch and elliptical. Available in pine, alder or Douglas Fir, Classic Collection products can also be custom crafted and stained in production.
With so many options for exterior trim, tinted and textured glass, hardware finishes, decorative grilles and simulated divided lites, it’s easy to see why the Classic Collection has already become a popular choice of architects and heritage home renovators in Eastern Canada. Low‐E 179 insulating glass is standard.
Sliding patio doors in the collection feature extruded aluminum cladding. Swinging patio doors feature one, two or more panels and swing either in or out. This includes French doors that open in the middle with no centre mullion.
While many wood products are treated by dipping them into a preservation agent, the wood in AuraLast® products is injected. This method results in almost 100 % penetration, enabling JELD‐WEN to offer an industry‐leading 20‐year warranty on AuraLast® solid pine windows and doors.
“We’re proud to make the Classic Collection available across the country,” says Sante Cigana, Vice‐President of JELD‐WEN Canada. “The beauty and versatility of these wood windows and doors make them ideally suited to Canadian lifestyles.”
