(Winnipeg, March 15, 2011) – Given the success garnered by its acclaimed contest last year, JELD-WEN, manufacturer of doors and windows, has come back strong with its “Make your home a star!” contest.

Open to Canadian adult residents, the contest seeks to draw attention to the energy performance of our homes. Through this positive initiative, participants could win one of two grand prizes worth $25,000 in ENERGY STAR certified JELD-WEN doors and windows.

“The aim behind this contest is to make Canadians aware of the importance of energy efficiency.  We want to show consumers that there are simple and concrete ways of improving the energy performance of our homes. And it is all the better if we can make people happy along the way!” said Ms. Lisa Bergeron, Director of Government Relations at JELD-WEN Canada.

All contest details and rules can be consulted on the JELD-WEN website at: www.jeld-wen.ca, as of March 15, 2011.

JELD-WEN, founded in 1960, today has more than 20,000 employees working in 22 countries around the world.  A leading manufacturer of doors and windows, JELD-WEN has been increasing resources to raise the performance and energy efficiency of its products. To this end, the company has participated in the ENERGY STAR program since 2004.
