On September 21, Hurricane Igor hit the east coast of Newfoundland with extremely high winds and torrential downpours, leaving in its wake flooded towns, washed-out roads and heavily damaged infrastructures.

In an effort to help the affected population, JELD-WEN launched an initiative to set aside a fraction of its sales over a given period. This initiative was combined with the efforts of the Canadian Red Cross Relief Fund for the victims of Igor.

“Thanks to the precious collaboration of our JELD-WEN retailers in Newfoundland, today we are proud to donate a total of $9, 500.” declared Ms. Lisa Bergeron, director of marketing for Eastern Canada.

JELD-WEN would also like to highlight the excellent work of its retailers, without whom this social involvement in the community would not have been as successful.
